2. How long do the flights take?
Flight times are very short and efficient:
- Zanzibar Airport to resorts: 10–20 minutes
- Zanzibar to Pemba Island: 20–30 minutes
- Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam: 30–45 minutes
Scenic add-ons can extend any flight by 10 or 20 minutes.
3. What is the pricing? Are prices per person or per helicopter?
All prices are **per helicopter** (shared among passengers). Current rates (Jan–May 2026):
- Airport to Resorts: from $1,160 – $1,450
- Zanzibar to Pemba: $3,770
- Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam: from $4,930
- 10-min scenic add-on: $580
- 20-min scenic add-on: $1,015
June–Dec 2026 rates are lower. Prices exclude landing fees ($40/person in Zanzibar, $65/person in Dar es Salaam).
4. What is the luggage allowance?
Standard allowance is **15 kg per person** in soft-sided bags only. Recommended dimensions: 50cm × 25cm × 30cm. Hard cases, rigid suitcases, or bags with wheels/frames are not suitable for helicopter compartments. Additional luggage can be arranged at an extra fee.
5. How many passengers can fly together?
Jan–May 2026: Up to 6 passengers (larger helicopter configuration).
June–Dec 2026: Up to 4–5 passengers.
Exact capacity depends on total weight and flight type.
6. Is the service safe?
Yes. We operate modern Airbus helicopters with advanced safety systems, experienced pilots, and strict maintenance schedules. All flights include comprehensive safety briefings, and our helicopters are equipped for emergency support. Safety is our top priority.
7. Do I need any special preparation for the flight?
Just bring soft luggage (15 kg max per person), wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes, and arrive 30–45 minutes before your scheduled departure. Sunglasses, hat, and sunscreen are recommended for bright conditions at altitude.
8. Can I add scenic flying time to my transfer?
Yes! You can add 10 minutes ($580 Jan–May / $360 June–Dec) or 20 minutes ($1,015 Jan–May / $630 June–Dec) of extra scenic flight time to any transfer. This is one of our most popular upgrades.
9. What if the weather is bad?
Safety comes first. Flights operate only in suitable weather conditions. If a flight is delayed or cancelled due to weather, we will reschedule at the earliest safe opportunity or offer suitable alternatives. We monitor conditions closely and communicate promptly.
10. How do I book a helicopter flight?
