Itinerary for the 3-day Ruaha National Park Safari Package
Day 1: Arrival and Game Drive
Your safari adventure begins with a morning flight from Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar to Iringa, a small town located just a few hours' drive from Ruaha National Park. After meeting your guide and driver, you'll set off on a scenic journey through the rolling hills of the Southern Highlands, passing through small villages and farms along the way.
Upon arrival at Ruaha National Park, you'll have a quick briefing on the park's rules and regulations before embarking on your first game drive. The park's landscapes are dominated by baobab trees, rocky outcrops, and the Great Ruaha River, which provides a vital source of water for the park's wildlife. Day 2: Walking Safari and Cultural Visit
After an early breakfast, you'll set off on a walking safari, accompanied by an armed ranger and your guide. Walking safaris offer a unique perspective on the park's wildlife and landscapes, allowing you to get up close and personal with the natural world. You'll have the chance to track animals, learn about the park's flora and fauna, and appreciate the smaller details that are often missed on game drives.
In the afternoon, you'll visit a nearby village to learn about the local culture and way of life. Day 3: Game Drive and Departure

After lunch, you'll pack up and begin the journey back to Iringa, stopping along the way for any final photo opportunities. You'll arrive in Iringa in the late afternoon, where you can catch a flight back to Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar, or continue on with your Tanzanian adventure. And this marks the end of your 3-day Ruaha National Park safari tour.
Tips for a Successful Safari
Bring binoculars and a camera to capture the wildlife and landscapes.
