The gateway to the Tanzanian Northern Safari Circuit is the town of Arusha. It is located in the foothills of Mount Meru, the fifth highest mountain in Africa. The Arusha National Park: This park is located in the Arusha Region of north eastern Tanzania and covers an area of 137 square kilometers (53 square miles). The Tarangire National Park: This park is located in the Manyara Region of Tanzania and covers an area of 2,850 square kilometers (1,100 square miles). It is home to a large number of elephants, as well as zebras, wildebeests, lions, leopards, and giraffes. The park is also known for its baobab trees, which are some of the largest in Africa

The Serengeti National Park: This park is located in the Mara and Simiyu Regions of Tanzania and covers an area of 14,763 square kilometers (5,700 square miles). It is famous for its annual migration of wildebeest and zebras, which is one of the largest animal migrations in the world. The park is also home to a variety of other animals, including lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and cheetahs

The Ngorongoro Crater: This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Ngorongoro District of the Arusha Region of Tanzania. It is a collapsed volcano that is now a caldera, or bowl-shaped depression, with an area of 260 square kilometers (100 square miles).
