Itinerary for Marangu village day trip tour package
Activity 1: A drive to Marangu village
Pick up from Moshi town for an hour's drive to Marangu village where your first stop will be at the Marangu Gate to get to know better the climb of the Kilimanjaro Mountain and the drive will end there where you will continue on your next stop on foot.
Activity 2: Marangu caves and coffee plantation
Depending on your readiness, you can take a short climb to one of the many waterfalls in the area. The trail can be a bit steep, but it’s never far and doable for anyone in a normal physical condition but remember to put on your shoes. Here you can enjoy the view of the falling water and swimming. Thereafter you will visit a Chagga museum which is not open throughout the year so this depends on the time of your visit.
Activity 3: Lunch at Marangu village and Chagga culture
As you are in the Chagga land, you will be treated to Chagga local lunch and get to taste the Chagga traditional local drink called ‘Mbege’ or banana beer. This will mark the end of your day trip to Marangu village where you will take your drive back to Moshi town.
