What You Get on a Private Safari
- Your own vehicle: a private 4x4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof, a window seat for every guest (at most 6), Wi-Fi (patchy in remote areas), charging points and a fridge for drinks
- Your own driver-guide for the whole safari. Our driver-guides graduated from the College of African Wildlife Management at Mweka and have five years of safari guiding. They speak English, and we can arrange French, Spanish, German or Chinese-speaking guides.

The vehicle, guide and crater fee are charged per vehicle, so the price per person falls as your group grows: on the 4-day Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari, two pay US$2,195 each and six pay US$1,720 each.

Every itinerary on our site can be changed: start in Moshi instead of Arusha, add a night in the Serengeti, swap Lake Manyara for Tarangire, fly one way, or add a balloon flight (US$490). Who Is a Private Safari For?
Families (children from 1 year, with an 8% family discount), couples and honeymooners, photographers and birders who need time at sightings, and groups of friends of four to six, for whom private costs about the same as sharing. For two travelers or more, a private safari is worth it for the flexibility. Give the Serengeti at least two nights if you can, and tell us your interests so we plan the route around them.
How to Book a Private Safari in Tanzania
A 30% deposit confirms your safari, and the balance is paid on arrival. Deposits can be paid through Pesapal by card or mobile money, or by bank transfer in US dollars.

A Day on a Private Safari
You decide the rhythm with your guide. Many guests leave before sunrise with a packed breakfast to catch the cats active in the cool, return to camp for lunch and a rest in the heat, and head out again in the late afternoon until the park closes. Others prefer a full day out with a picnic lunch. On a private safari, both are possible, and you can change your mind on the day.
