Is This AFCON Package Right for You?

Choose it if you are coming a long way for the football and want the trip of a lifetime around it: the matches, the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater and Zanzibar's beaches in one plan, with one team arranging every transfer. It needs about eleven days; with fewer, the Arusha Fan Base keeps the wildlife to day trips.

What If Your Team Plays in Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar?

Then the plan turns around: your matches are in Dar es Salaam, and we fly you to Arusha for the safari, at US$450 per person for each one-way domestic flight. From Dar es Salaam the fast ferry to Zanzibar, about two hours, costs US$55 per person, so you can end on the beach without flying. We quote the Dar es Salaam version for your fixtures and hotel level.

If your team plays in Zanzibar, at the Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar City or the new Fumba Stadium, the order changes again: the safari comes first, and your beach nights and match days come together at the end of the trip, with return stadium transfers at the same price.

Common Questions About the AFCON Matches, Serengeti and Zanzibar Package

Can the safari fit between two group matches?

Usually, yes. Group matches are normally a few days apart, and the 4-day safari starts the day after your first match and ends in Arusha the day before the next. If the gap is shorter, we switch to a 2- or 3-day safari closer to Arusha.

Is June a good time for a safari?

Yes. June and July are the start of the dry season, with green plains turning gold and animals gathering near water; the central Serengeti has lions, leopards and cheetahs all year.

Are match tickets included?

No. Tickets are sold through the official tournament channels, but we can help: we guide you through the official sale, help you buy tickets for your team's matches and can arrange the purchase for you, then plan the days and transfers around them.

What if my team plays in Dar es Salaam?

We fly you between Dar es Salaam and Arusha, US$450 per person each way, and quote the trip around your matches; the ferry from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar is US$55 per person.

Can we skip Zanzibar or add more beach days?

Yes. Without Zanzibar the trip ends in Arusha after the second match; extra beach nights are quoted at your hotel level.

Is Jaynevy Tours an official AFCON partner?

No. We are an independent tour operator in Moshi, not affiliated with CAF or the tournament organizers.

The Bottom Line

For fans who want more than the football, this is northern Tanzania in eleven days: two matches in Arusha, the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater in the dry season, and the beach to finish, from US$4,625 per person for two at mid-range level. Book early, and we fit the safari around your team's fixtures once they are published.
