What You Need to Know: AFCON 2027 runs from June 19 to July 17, 2027, co-hosted by Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. The proposed Tanzanian venues are the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, the new Samia Suluhu Hassan Stadium in Arusha, and the Amaan and Fumba stadiums in Zanzibar. Where Will AFCON 2027 Matches Be Played in Tanzania?
Four stadiums are proposed for matches in mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar, in three host areas. CAF confirms the final venues with the match schedule, after the qualifiers end in March 2027 and the draw; we fit every itinerary to the published fixtures, so you can book before you know them.

AFCON Trips Based in Dar es Salaam
If your team plays at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, we build the trip around Dar es Salaam. These plans are quoted on request while we confirm hotel rates for the tournament; the prices of their parts are already fixed.
Dar es Salaam matches and Mikumi, about 5 days
Arrive in Dar es Salaam, then a match with return stadium transfers; between matches, the 2-day Mikumi safari by SGR train (from US$340 per person, train tickets extra) for elephants, lions and giraffes on the Mkata floodplain; back in Dar es Salaam for the next match. A city tour, a boat to Bongoyo Island or a day in historic Bagamoyo (US$123 per person each) can fill a spare day; see things to do in Dar es Salaam.
Dar es Salaam matches and Zanzibar, about 7 days
Matches in Dar es Salaam, then the fast ferry to Zanzibar, about two hours, at US$55 per person: a Stone Town walk, Prison Island and the beach, with Zanzibar excursion days at US$105 per person. You can also cross for a single day between matches with our Zanzibar day trip from Dar es Salaam. From Dar es Salaam, the domestic flight to Arusha for a northern safari costs US$450 per person each way.
AFCON Trips Based in Zanzibar
If your team plays at the Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar City or at the new Fumba Stadium, Zanzibar becomes your base: a stay in Stone Town or on the beach, return transfers to every match, and island trips in between. It is quoted on request, with these parts already priced:
- Return stadium transfers: US$40 per person per match, US$30 for groups of four or more
- Zanzibar excursion days, such as Stone Town, Jozani Forest, the dolphins and the sandbank or a sunset dhow cruise: US$105 per person per day
- The fast ferry from Dar es Salaam: US$55 per person; or fly in from Arusha after a safari, as in our Serengeti and Zanzibar package

Group matches are usually a few days apart, which is enough for a day trip or a short safari. These leave from your hotel and are back the same day, unless stated:

Longer trips fit best before your team's first match or after their last one. June and July are dry-season months across northern Tanzania, good for both the mountain and the parks.

Fan Clubs, Families and Corporate Groups
We plan for supporters' clubs, families and company groups, with hotels and vehicles for the whole party; each vehicle carries up to six, with a window seat for everyone. Match-day transfers drop to US$30 per person for groups of four or more, and the price per person of every safari falls as the group grows. Group trips are quoted on request: send us the number of travelers, your team and the level of hotel.
What Should You Know Before You Travel?
Plan on a Tanzania eVisa (US$50 for most nationalities, US$100 for US citizens) and Tanzania's mandatory inbound travel insurance (US$44 per adult); a joint visa for the three host countries has been discussed but not agreed. Fly between Arusha and the coast, and take the fast ferry between Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar. June and July are dry and pleasant, with cool evenings in Arusha.
