Tarangire National Park

The Tarangire National Park is located in the Manyara Region of Tanzania, about 120 kilometers (75 miles) southwest of Arusha. It covers an area of 2,850 square kilometers (1,100 square miles). The park is named after the Tarangire River, which flows through it. The river is the only source of water in the park during the dry season, which makes it a major attraction for wildlife.Tarangire National Park is famous for its large elephant herds.
