Who Is the 10-Day Zanzibar Holiday For?

It is for travelers who want a long beach holiday without spending it all in one place. The north coast gives you sunsets over the sea, swimming at most tides and boat trips from Nungwi; the south-east gives you a wide, quiet beach, seaweed farmers working the shallows at low tide and village life around you. Splitting the stay halfway also breaks up the week, and the drive between the coasts passes Jozani Forest.

Common Questions About the 10-Day Zanzibar Holiday

Short answers to the questions our guests ask us most often:

How much is a 10-day Zanzibar holiday?

From US$2,900 per person for two travelers at mid-range hotels and US$4,755 with luxury hotels in Stone Town and the north, including nine nights, transfers, Mnemba snorkeling and Jozani Forest.

Is it worth splitting a Zanzibar holiday between two beaches?

On a stay of a week or more, yes: the north and south-east coasts feel very different, and the change halfway keeps a long beach holiday interesting.

How long is the drive from Kendwa to Jambiani?

About two hours; we break it with the Jozani Forest visit.

Is Jambiani good for swimming?

At high tide, yes, in a calm lagoon. At low tide the water goes far out, so check the tide times; the north coast is easier for swimming.

Can children do the Mnemba snorkeling trip?

Yes, if they are comfortable in the water; snorkel gear is included and child prices are in your quotation. Tell us their ages when you book.

Should You Book the 10-Day Zanzibar Holiday?

Book it if you have ten days and want to see two sides of the island, with snorkeling at Mnemba and the forest on the way, from US$2,900 per person for two at mid-range hotels. If you prefer one beach, choose the 8-day holiday at Pongwe, and see where to stay in Zanzibar to compare the coasts.
