7-Day Mikumi, Ruaha and Nyerere Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Dar es Salaam

We meet you at Julius Nyerere International Airport or another confirmed Dar es Salaam pickup point and transfer you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is for rest and your safari briefing. Your exact pickup time, hotel and meal plan are confirmed in writing before arrival.

Day 2: Mikumi National Park

After an early breakfast, we drive from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park. Depending on traffic, road conditions and gate timing, you enter for an afternoon game drive. The open grasslands and woodland may reveal elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes and many bird species. You continue to the confirmed lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Ruaha National Park

We leave Mikumi early for the long road journey toward Ruaha National Park. Arrival time depends on the selected accommodation, road and gate conditions; any game viewing on arrival is therefore time-permitting. Ruaha's river systems, baobab landscapes and woodland support elephants, as well as lions, leopards and other wildlife, but no particular sighting is guaranteed.

Day 4: Ruaha National Park

Day 4 is your main wildlife-viewing day in Ruaha. After breakfast, your driver-guide selects game-drive areas according to recent wildlife movement, road access and water availability. You may encounter buffalo, giraffe, antelope, elephants, predators and varied birdlife. Lunch is arranged according to your confirmed meal plan before the evening return to camp.

Day 5: Ruaha to Nyerere National Park

This is the itinerary's longest and most demanding transfer day. We depart early and travel toward Nyerere National Park, formerly part of the wider Selous ecosystem. Because travel time varies considerably with routing, road conditions and season, we do not promise an activity after arrival. Day 6: Nyerere National Park Game Drive and Confirmed Activity

We explore Nyerere National Park and the Selous ecosystem by safari vehicle, looking for elephants, lions, leopards, hippos, crocodiles and birdlife. A boat or walking safari takes place only if specifically listed in your quotation and remains subject to permits, ranger or supplier availability, weather and water conditions.

Day 7: Departure

After breakfast, we begin the return journey from the Nyerere area to Dar es Salaam. This is another substantial road transfer, so you should not schedule a tightly timed international departure on the same day unless our team has reviewed the connection. Airport drop-off, a Dar es Salaam hotel or onward arrangements are provided as confirmed in writing.
