7-Day Luxury Tanzania Safari Itinerary
The route travels from Arusha through Tarangire and Lake Manyara to the Serengeti, then returns via Ngorongoro. Exact pickup times, accommodation and the final drop-off point are confirmed in your written itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival and Overnight in Arusha
We meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport or another agreed arrival point and transfer you to your Arusha hotel. After check-in, you can rest and meet our representative for a safari briefing. Your quotation will state whether the arrival transfer and first hotel night are included.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, travel by private 4x4 to Tarangire National Park for a game drive. The park's river corridor, baobabs and seasonal wetlands may attract elephants, giraffes, buffalo, antelope and predators. After wildlife viewing, continue to your confirmed lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park
Explore Lake Manyara National Park, where groundwater forest, open grassland and lake-edge habitats support primates, elephants, hippos and many bird species. Flamingo numbers and tree-climbing lion sightings vary and cannot be guaranteed. Continue to your accommodation after the game drive.
Day 4: Travel to Serengeti National Park
Drive through the Ngorongoro highlands toward Serengeti National Park. The transfer is part of the safari experience, with wildlife viewing possible after entering the park. Road conditions and sightings influence the day's timing, and you arrive at your camp or lodge in time for dinner whenever conditions allow.
Day 5: Full-Day Serengeti Game Drive
Spend the day exploring the Serengeti with your private driver-guide. Depending on season and location, you may see wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, buffalo, big cats and other plains wildlife. We plan the day's route around current animal movement and your interests, with meals arranged according to the confirmed lodge plan. A sunrise balloon safari is optional and must be quoted separately.
Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Enjoy further wildlife viewing as you leave the Serengeti and travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Depending on your confirmed lodge location and park timings, the day may include a morning game drive before the journey to the crater highlands. Dinner and overnight are arranged near the crater or in the Karatu area.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive and Return
Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive across grassland, woodland and wetland habitats. Lions, buffalo, hippos, elephants and black rhinos may be present, but every sighting remains subject to natural conditions. After the crater visit, return to Arusha or continue to the airport or another agreed location. Book a late-evening departure or an additional post-safari night because the return time can vary.
How Much Does the 7-Day Luxury Tanzania Safari Cost?
The price of our 7-day luxury Tanzania wildlife safari starts from USD 1,400 per person. The final amount depends on your travel dates, number of travelers, confirmed accommodation, room arrangement, arrival and departure transfers, current park charges and optional activities.
The starting price should be used for planning rather than treated as a fixed quote. Before you pay, we provide a written quotation showing the exact lodges or camps, transport, meals, fees and any optional services included for your dates.
Who This Luxury Wildlife Safari Suits
This safari is a strong fit for travelers who want private transport, quality accommodation and enough time for two Serengeti days within a classic northern Tanzania route. It also works well for first-time safari visitors who want varied landscapes rather than focusing on only one park.
- Choose it if: you value comfort, a private schedule and broad wildlife variety.
- Discuss it with us first if: you have young children, limited mobility, dietary requirements or a same-day international departure.
- Consider a longer route if: your main goal is a seasonal Great Migration location far from central Serengeti.
Luxury Safari Accommodation and Meals
We use the luxury lodge or tented-camp category, but no property is final until it appears in your written quotation. Availability changes by season, so we may propose a comparable alternative and ask for your approval before confirmation.
Safari meals are generally arranged through the booked properties, with packed lunches used on some game-drive days. Tell us about allergies, dietary preferences and accessibility needs before booking so we can confirm what each property can provide.

Best Time for a 7-Day Tanzania Wildlife Safari
This safari operates throughout the year, but the experience changes by season. The generally drier months often make road travel and wildlife viewing easier, while greener periods can bring dramatic scenery, young animals and stronger birding. Rain can affect road conditions and travel times.
The Great Migration is a moving natural event, not a fixed attraction. Share your dates and priorities with us so we can recommend the most suitable Serengeti area; sightings and river crossings can never be guaranteed.
Booking Your 7-Day Luxury Tanzania Safari
Send us your dates, number of adults and children, room preferences, arrival details and any special requirements. We then check availability and provide a written itinerary and quotation before asking you to confirm.
Review the accommodation names, cancellation terms, payment schedule and every inclusion before paying. You can also see our payment options, explore other northern Tanzania safari packages, or add a Zanzibar beach holiday after your safari.
