9-Day Serengeti Safari
Our 9-day Serengeti safari combines Tarangire, Ngorongoro and four Serengeti nights for a wildlife-focused northern Tanzania journey. We arrange airport transfers, a private 4x4 and driver-guide, mid-range accommodation, safari meals, park entry, crater access and daily logistics. The price of this 9-day Serengeti safari starts from USD 3,771 per person. Wildlife sightings, migration locations and the final Serengeti region depend on season and animal movement. The final package price and confirmed inclusions are provided in your written quotation.
9-Day Serengeti Safari Overview
This 9-day, 8-night route uses one Arusha arrival night, one night in Tarangire, two nights in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and four nights in Serengeti National Park. The longer Serengeti stay supports several full game-drive days without rushing between parks.
We select the Serengeti region for your season and departure plan. Northern river areas, central Seronera and southern plains are widely separated; attempting to cover all of them can turn the safari into long transfers.
The Great Migration moves with rainfall and grazing. We use current operational information to recommend the most suitable base, but no crossing, calving event or particular species is guaranteed.

9-Day Serengeti Safari Itinerary
This route uses eight nights and keeps the Day 9 road return practical. Exact timings vary with road conditions, lodge location and wildlife stops.
Day 1: Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha
We meet you at the airport and transfer you to Arusha for rest and a safari briefing.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire
Drive to Tarangire National Park for a game drive among baobabs, woodland and river habitats. Overnight at your confirmed lodge or camp.
Day 3: Tarangire to Ngorongoro
Travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. An Olduvai Gorge stop is included only when confirmed and practical for the day's route.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
Descend into the crater for a game drive through grassland, woodland and wetland habitats. Black rhino may be seen at a distance, but no species is guaranteed.
Day 5: Ngorongoro to Serengeti
Drive to Serengeti National Park with game viewing after entry as conditions allow. Settle into the Serengeti base chosen for your season.
Day 6: Full-Day Serengeti Game Drive
Explore habitats around your lodge region with morning and afternoon wildlife viewing planned by your guide.
Day 7: Seasonal Serengeti Safari
Use a second full day in the most suitable Serengeti sector. Northern, central and southern regions are far apart, so the final plan prioritizes useful game-viewing time.
Day 8: Final Full Day in Serengeti
Continue game viewing at a measured pace with time for photography and different habitats before the final safari night.
Day 9: Serengeti to Arusha
Depart after breakfast for the long road journey to Arusha. A northern Serengeti itinerary may instead require a scheduled flight or extra night, confirmed separately.
Best Time for a 9-Day Serengeti Safari
June to October is popular for drier conditions, while January to March can suit green-season travel and seasonal southern-plains activity. The migration does not follow an exact calendar, so we recommend the region based on your dates.
Wildlife You May See
You may see elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, hyena, hippo and many antelope and bird species. Black rhino and migration events remain possible, not guaranteed.
Accommodation on the Safari
The standard package uses mid-range lodges or tented camps. Your quotation confirms every property, room category, meal plan and location.
