Lodge level changes the 4-day safari from US$1,680 (budget) to US$3,130 (luxury) for 2 people. Six people pay US$1,720 each at mid-range.
The vehicle, guide and crater fee are charged per vehicle, so they are split between everyone in it. Lodges are charged per room.

How to Lower the Cost of a Tanzania Safari
Travel as a group of four to six, sleep outside the parks, and choose parks closer to Arusha.
Each of these cuts a different part of the cost without changing the vehicle or guide.
- Share the vehicle: 4–6 people pay much less each
- Stay in Karatu or Mto wa Mbu instead of inside the parks
- Choose Tarangire, Manyara and the crater instead of the Serengeti for short trips
- Travel in November or March for quieter parks
