Who Is the Fly-In Honeymoon For?

It is for couples who want the Serengeti and the beach and would rather not spend their honeymoon on the road. By car, the Serengeti is a full day from Arusha each way; by air it is one or two hours, and the flight from the Serengeti to Zanzibar takes you straight from the bush to the beach. All your driving is game driving. The trade-off is that this trip leaves out Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Crater, which are reached by road.

What to Know About the Honeymoon Flights

Both flights are scheduled services with Auric Air or Coastal Aviation in small propeller planes, which land on gravel airstrips in the park. A few practical points:

  • Luggage is usually limited to 15 kg per person, including hand luggage, in a soft bag; we can store the rest.
  • Scheduled flights often stop at other airstrips, so the journey can take longer than the direct time.
  • Flight times are confirmed close to travel, and your guide plans the Serengeti days around them.
