Who Is the 7-Day Private Luxury Safari For?

It is the trip we suggest most often to first-time visitors who want comfort: long enough to see all four of the classic northern parks without early starts every day, with a rest night in Arusha after the long flight and two full nights in the Serengeti. It suits couples, families and friends traveling together, and it ends close to Kilimanjaro International Airport, so you can fly home or on to Zanzibar the same day.

Months What to expect

December to March Green season with short showers; the migration herds are on the southern plains, within reach of the central Serengeti in some years
April and May The long rains: muddy tracks, fewer visitors, and some lodges close or offer lower rates
November The short rains begin; quieter lodges and a good shoulder month

For the herds themselves, see the Great Migration by month.
